Marijn Schortinghuis - Chair

Marijn is the big boss of the association. She is the face of Sarphati and provides direction and leadership. Besides that, she maintains the contact with the programs and other associations.

To me, the best part of being chair is the great amount of contact with all the members and being the point of contact of the association.

Nicole Winters - Secretary

Among Nicole's responsibilities are the news letter, keeping track of the membership files, managing the social media and taking minutes whenever possible!

The most fun part of being secretary to me is managing the social media. You can be nice and creative and every promotion is different!

Sanne Winder - Treasurer

Sanne is our treasurer and is responsible for everything within the association that concerns money and bookkeeping. No penny goes through unchecked!

I really like my position because of the combination of the administrative part and the collaboration with the committees.

Ruben is vice-chair, takes care of the communication with the members and manages the committees.

Jisk de Vries - Commissioner External Affairs

Jisk is our commissioner for external affairs. He is primarily in contact with businesses, partners and alumni. He also maintains our LinkedIn-page.​

The best part of being Commissioner External Affairs is that you get to know many representatives of companies personally and find out that besides having a succesfull career, they are often also very kind and fun people.

Best Sarphati memory: In Zagreb (Rondreis 2022) we took a cable car to get up a high mountain and found ourselves suddenly standing in the snow. Afterwards, a few of us went down on foot and we visited the ruins of an abandoned hospital. It was a great adventure, but above all very gezellig!​
