Every study programme has an Opleidingscommissie (OC), Program Committee in English. This is a committee established by law that advises the dean of the faculty and the director of the educational institute on all kinds of education-related issues. This committee is therefore directly associatied with the faculty and not with the study association. But we thought it good to introduce them to you, as it helps them in their tasks when as many students as possible know them. The OC includes both lecturers and students, and the programme directors and study advisers are also often present at the meetings.
The aim of the OC is to contribute to the quality of education in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes of Planning, Social Geography and International Development Studies. Do you have questions, complaints or comments about a specific course or about the program? Send an email to studentendelegatie-oc-sgpl@uva.nl. This is the e-mail address of the student members of the OC. Of course, you can always approach one of the student-members. The student members will ensure that complaints and remarks are discussed within the OC and that a solution will be sought, after which feedback will be given to you. (please note that the OC is not equipped to deal with individual complaints, but is there for wider issues). The current student members are:

Oumnia Nounouh
Hi hi! My name is Oumnia Nounouh, I am nineteen years old and this is my first year at the Bachelor of Human Geography and Planning. This is also my first year serving on the OC. I guess you could say that everything is pretty new to me, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I find it incredibly interesting and fun to mean something for our program. I am also a representative on behalf of the OC and HGP in our faculty's Diversity Group. If you have a question regarding the programme or run into something, feel free to contact the OC! |
Jana Akkerman
Hello all, my name is Jana Akkerman and I am 20 years old. I am a second-year SGPL student and this year I am a member of the training committee for the second time. I hope to use the experience I gained last year to serve the training even better. Together with Oumnia and Jasper, we will make sure the education is as optimal as possible for everyone. If you encounter any problems regarding education or if you think something is going really well, you can send us a message or talk to us in person! |
Jasper Jonkers
Hi all, I'm Jasper Jonkers, 22 years old. I have been walking in at SGPL for five years now, and have thus experienced the education before, during and (hopefully) after the lockdowns. I chose Planning as my major, but I have also taken Human Geography subjects, as well as courses in the political science, art history and Frisian departments. I hope to use my experience to answer your questions about the programme, and to make good use of the feedback you provide to further improve our programme together with Jana and Oumnia. Should you want to know or say anything about the programme, I would love to hear from you! |
